Google Launches Instant Mobile

True to its goal of innovating and bringing the newest updates to its users, Google has yet again proven itself. After reports last week that Google Instant beta is set to appear on Android devices, Google has announced yesterday that the predictive search-as-you-type functionality for iPhones and Android will be implemented.

Users will be able to see Instant beta in his/her Android 2.2 devices and have iPhones and iPods running iOS 4 in the US in English. For you to try it, you may try hitting the “Turn on link” found beneath the search box on google.com.

There are still plans formulated by Google to provide additional support to more countries, languages, and devices in the future months. However, reports have it that the existing one is working well in both the UK and Canada.

Google stated that they are working on pushing the limits of mobile browsers and wireless networks. Users are to notice that there is a noticeable improvement in the speed when you are searching and this is due to the new AJAX and HTML5’s implementation for mobile which will dynamically update the page with new results. There will also be no need to load a new page when making a new query.

Google also highlighted that the Instant mobile will work best on 3G and WiFi networks. Should the user is having a bad connection, s/he simply has to disable it. Now, more and more people are given opportunity to stay connected and updated even without a laptop or computer at hand. Mobile devices have now gained more power and usability than their original purposes.

The recent innovation from Google has been met with mixed reviews. There are some Search Engine Optimization Experts who say that it is not really that good due to its smaller screen size. However, there are some who say that it is really good. If you are to use Instant in your mobile, you are free to voice out your opinion in Google’s website.
