Facebook Redesigns its Left-Hand Navigation

Facebook has started rolling out a newly-redesigned left-hand navigation that displays the pages you like, the groups you are in, and the apps you have.

This major redesign to the Canvas Page gives more emphasis on Facebook apps, making it more engaging for facebook users to use it.

The latest version of left-hand navigation or inteface is divided into four groups:
  • Favorites – includes direct link to well-known facebook features such as News Feeds or events
  • Pages – displays the first two most popular Pages you like
  • Groups – includes the first two most popular groups you join
  • Apps – displays the game and apps request you have from your friends
Some of the links that have been removed are the “More Menus” for your list of groups and for the list of your apps request.
