Followerwonk has now been acquired by SEOMoz. It was earlier last year when SEOMoz was able to acquire $18 million worth of funding from The Foundry Group and Ignition Partners. Shortly after that, a discussion for a possible acquisition was initiated by CEO Rand Fishkin with CEO Peter Bray of Followerwonk.
“In true Moz style, the ‘Wonkers’ will become ‘Mozzers’ which will allow SEOMoz to expand its current capabilities to include a social aspect, helping customers search Twitter profiles, compare two users, and analyze them using comprehensive graphs,” says a representative from SEOMoz.
Though Fishkin would always want to be transparent with the acquisitions of the company, he cannot divulge anything much just as yet. But he says that as far as Followerwonk crew’s personal finances are concerned, the total deal value is somewhere in the low 7 figures which already includes cash upfront, ongoing cash incentives, and SEOMoz stocks.
So what is the Followerwonk about? It will allow you to dig deeper into Twitter analytics by letting you know who your followers are, where they are located, and when they tweet.
It will also allow you to find and connect with new influences in your chosen niche. Besides that, you can also make use of super-actionable visualizations that will allow you to compare your social graph to others. Most importantly, it will let you share your reports with the rest of the world.
After the Followerwonk, Twitter will now be able to find, engage, and optimize their audience.
For these reasons, every online business is encouraged to continue using Twitter as part of social media campaign. And if you are looking for a reliable and expert SEO company that can deliver cost-effective SEO Services, go for Premium SEO Solutions.
